The Cockatoo gardens are home to diverse flora and fauna including orchids, frangipani and several species of lizards and frogs. Butterflies and dragonflies dart above swimmers in the infinity pool, birds fly in and out of the gardens at all hours of the day, and blue fireflies are often seen flitting about in the dark.

At The Cockatoo you get away from the din of modern life and find tranquility in a natural sanctuary. At one end of the infinity pool stands an open thatch-roofed pavilion where you can escape from the cares of the world – or link up with someone across the globe through the resort’s free Wi-Fi. At the other end of the pool are wooden sundecks where you can sunbathe, perhaps refreshed with a tropical fruit smoothie from the poolside Noa Noa Tropical Bar & Restaurant. With no tall buildings around, here you enjoy a sense of wide-open space, an increasing rarity in our modern world. At night, the resort slumbers under a canopy of stars or awash in luminous moonlight, with the silence broken only by a "symphony" of nocturnal sounds from nature.
